Dear Mom,
This letter is just a reminder of how much I love you and how grateful I am to have you in my life.
Without you, I would never have become the person I am today.
That’s why I just want to say, “Thank you!”
Thank you for being there for me when I needed it most, thank you for being attentive to my problems, for being my late night call, for giving me advice and to always be by my side.
I know there are no words to express how grateful I am to have you, but I hope that once you have read this letter, you will realize that you have accomplished all by yourself. job worthy of respect.
I know that you put your life on hold just to be able to devote yourself to me, and that the only free time you had between two jobs, and going to and from school, it was the time you spent at toilets to cry so much it was hard to live it all alone.
And I also know that you didn’t want me to know about your problems, so you were hiding them.
But even when I was very little, I felt the lack of peace in you and I knew that you were suffering and that it was the battle every day.
I also know that you never really wanted to yell at me, but it was so difficult to take care of me, to have tons of bonds and to keep your cool beside all that.
Now I understand that everyone is falling apart, when I was just a little girl who wanted this toy at the store that you couldn’t buy from me.
I understand why we ordered to eat so many times.
It’s because you didn’t have time to cook between two jobs.
And for me, I didn’t care whether you cook something or not, the important thing was that we were together.
I know it was difficult for you to take this trip alone, but now that I’m an adult, you can see that you did a great job.
You raised a girl with a pure heart, like yours, and a person who will always be able to defend herself.
Your advice and your love will always be part of me, so mom, never think you weren’t enough.
You are more than enough!
You are more than worthy!
You are important!
You no longer need to make an effort because you have already given me everything I needed.
Of course I missed dad sometimes, but your love and affection always made me feel that I had as much, if not more, than the children who lived with their two parents.
You are more than enough, which means that you have given me everything that an adult person needs to be happy, and for that I can never thank you enough.
You are more than enough because you have always been listening, you were an honest friend, a good comrade and my diary in person.
I could tell you everything that bothered me and with a single sentence and a hug, all my nightmares disappeared.
You’ve always been my rock, mom, and you always will be.
Do not think that you failed because the situation with my father did not go as you expected.
Do not think that you were not sufficient because you ended a romantic relationship and that you found yourself alone with me.
You made the right choice. If there is no love, there is nothing else to do.
Leaving was therefore the perfect decision and I am so proud of you and your strength to succeed in doing so.
Just remember that your imperfections and worries don’t reflect your worth.
Don’t think leaving was a sign of weakness, because it doesn’t make you weak at all, it just means you’ve been too strong for too long.
I know you have had a period of madness and hardship in your life, and I know it was not easy for you to deal with all the problems alone.
But in the end, you succeeded and that is why you are more than enough.
You have been sufficient, you are sufficient and you will never stop being sufficient. I know you felt it every time I reached out for you to lift me up.
I know you had to feel that you were sufficient every time I looked at you with my big eyes, showing you that you were everything I needed, and that there was no woman more perfect than you at my eyes.
You have always been the best for me and you always will be.
Mom, I want you to know that you are more than enough.
